Today we are in Piedmont in the small town of Acqui Terme where Amaro Gamondi has been rooted for more than 100 years.
Created in from the ancient recipe of herbalist Carlo Gamondi, Amaro Gamondi features the traditional cold maceration of herbs and aromatic plants for a bitter sweet taste of extraordinary balance.
29 herbs and aromatic roots are steeped in two separate infusions:
First: steeping for about 40 days in alcohol of roots, herbs and barks that give the bitter stamp. These include gentian, rhubarb, wormwood, Cape aloe and cinchona.
Second: herbs, flowers, and peels resting for 30 days that determine the aromatic, sweet and spicy notes. Sweet and bitter orange peel, tangerine, vanilla, mint and cinnamon stand out.
The nose returns fresh and citrusy notes, balanced taste between sweet and bitter, sweet persistence.
To be enjoyed neat or on the rocks .
